The Occupation Arrests 2 Ahwazis In Quneitra Because Of Picking The Fruits Of A Nature Reserve

The occupation police arrested a number of Ahwazi people in the Quneitra district, under the pretext of picking mountain garlic, from one of the forests subject to the National Reserves Law.

The police announced that the detainees had been handed over to the court, in order to issue sentences against them. However, Ahwazi activists showed solidarity with the detainees, noting that the deteriorating economic conditions are forcing the poor to search for something that would satisfy their hunger. It is noteworthy that the occupation authorities have restricted all means of livelihood in the occupied Ahwaz.
