After the occupation’s decision to ban cultivation, the sugar cane company cultivates 500 hectares of rice

Ahwazna

The Iranian occupation authorities have recently admitted that the “Mian Ab” company for sugarcane, has planted about 500 hectares of rice, despite the decision to prevent farmers from planting it for this season.

This came after several attempts by the occupation authorities to deny the news. The people of Gitta district, southeast of the Sous district, revealed that the Mian Ab company has installed earth mounds, within the course of the Dez River, to divert the water course to the lands planted with rice.

Activists stated that the occupation authorities allow their companies what they are forbidden to farmers, and selectively impose the ban, amid a state of anger and resentment of the people.
